Where It All Began
Being fair skinned in a race that is predominately known for a dark complexion tends to make me stand out. I'm a dirty blonde-haired...
Some people gasp in surprise when I disclose my parents' and my grandparents' heritage. Being an Armenian in America with blonde (ish) hair and pale skin, the reaction is only fair. I'm going to Armenia this summer and I'm hoping to document my findings here. All the luck is going to be needed as the natives talk to me in Eastern Armenian when I've only learned Western my whole life. I have been learning the language since I was five at a school about twenty minutes from my home. Neither of my parents speak the language so I've done my best to soak up any information available.
